Hand Surgery
Hand surgery is a multidisciplinary subspecialty of general surgery, plastic surgery and orthopaedic surgery. Its goal is restoration of useful upper extremity function that has been compromised by congenital anomaly, acute injury, infection or degenerative disorder.
All aspects of the upper extremity involving the skin, muscles, tendons, bones, joints, nerves and blood vessels are within the expertise of the hand surgeon.
